Ferrand Cognac was created at the beginning of the third century, in the vineyards of Saintonge, France. Emperor Probus extended the privilege of holding vineyards to all of Gaul, but plantations were limited. From the 12th century onwards, expansion took place due to cargo ships coming from Norway. These ships started to include local wines on the way back. However, the life of wines was very short. Due to this factor, French winemakers began to choose to distill the product.

In transport, oak barrels were used because the aging of the drink was excellent in this type of storage. Over time the product was improved after the discovery of double distillation.

We now present some drinks from Ferrand Cognac:

Cognac FERRAND 10 GÉNÉRATIONS 50cl

Cognac FERRAND 10 Générations is round and opulent with notes of pepper, nutmeg, boiled pear, honey and white flowers. Cognac has a honey golden color and its aftertaste is long and fresh. It’s a drink slowly distilled in fine lees and aged in French oak.

Cognac FERRAND Renegade BARREL #2

A magical elixir with a distinct character who really sparkles when savored on its own. The Renegade No. 2 had a second stage in chestnut hulls.

FERRAND Dry Curaçao Liqueur

Based on a 19th century recipe, it’s a traditional French “triple sec”. Three separate spice distillations and the “sec” or bitter, Curaçao orange peel mixed with brandy and Ferrand Cognac.

In short Cognac belongs to the brandy family. Conceived from fermented and distilled grapes from France Cognac. Hence the origin of the name of these wonderful drinks. Discover our selection of Cognacs in our store!
